Palm Springs
Life Magazine, 2002 Annual Edition
Visitors to our beautiful desert often tell us how much they enjoy spending the evenings in our warm and inviting climate. As night falls, the sky turns a distinctive shade of purple, leading to star-filled and romantic evenings. Most agree that this nightly show is one of the desert's major draws, a part of life here that many of us take for granted and appreciate only when someone from another area reminds us of its unique beauty. We think this great feeling has been captured wonderfully on the cover of our Annual Desert Living Issue. Local sculptor Ron Chespak cut out and designed layer upon layer of colorful paper to evoke and re-create the many dimensions of the desert night. You can sense the heat of the pool, the coolness of the mountains. Even the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is visible as a bright shinning star. Of course, whether it's day or night in the desert, there is much to appreciate here. Look beyond the cover of this issue and you'll see what I mean. After all, this is the issue of Palm Springs Life that we put together to make sure those nights (and days) you spend with us are as full and interesting as they can be . So
here's to great desert days. And nights. |
